DirectX Support

1. Make sure you have the most recent release of DirectX is properly installed. You may be playing other games which require a version DirectX, but that doesn't mean that you have a recent version.

2. If necessary, install an updated version of DirectX.

3. If your drivers are certified, then visit your video card manufacturer's web site. (Check your documentation of do a web search to find your video card manufacturer's web site.)
4. Make sure that your video card and audio card fully supports the DirectX installed on your computer.

   DirectX has become a hardware standard. If your computer is not fully compatible with DirectX then you will be unable to play Dark Ages as well as several games by many companies.

   Most hardware made after 1997 is DirectX compatible. The hardware manufacturer will have that information. You can probably view this on their web site.
